Ski Weekends in Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is an incredibly welcoming, medievel silver mining town with a history steeped in skiing since the early 1900s. Famed for its unforgiving downhill run the Hahnenkamm, some have the impression that it is a resort reserved for fearless experts. This is far from the truth, however. When the Hahnenkamm, the Horn and the Streif are not in competition mode, they make for friendly, intermediate skiing, which actually sets the tone for the majority of this ski area.

When it is competion time, the Blue Riband event on the racing calendar opens up a Bacchanalian frenzy among supporters who party over a whole January weekend.

The lift system is finallly getting some much-needed updating to combat the queues that had become a problem on the mountain. Off the mountain, Kitzbühel is difficult to beat. The beautiful town with heavily buttressed walls is now frequented by stylish folk who enjoy the excellent hospitality and sumptuous restaurants.

With ample alpine charm, great hotels and a relatively short, 90 minute journey from Salzberg airport, Kitzbühel is a great choice for a corporate event or ski weekend.
