Event Profile:

This alpine team-building event will contain activities that are highly stimulating. The group will work together during motivational and challenging activities such as crevasse-rescuing, rappelling, tyrolienne and ice-climbing. Mountain Leap’s trainers will draw the parallels for your team during the exercise, which is designed to improve morale, motivation and communication amongst the participants.

The nature of the activities will also leave the participants feeling healthier and exhilerated, having achieved their objectives with a challenging but sensible amount of exertion.

The gala dinner and evening on the final night will also be a further opportunity for the team to enjoy leisure time before returning to work invigorated and refreshed.

Fitness and Skills:

This event requires no existing skills or experience. The participants will only need basic fitness levels but should be in good general health.

During the Alpine element of the event, the group will be accompanied by mountain guides who will clearly communicate everything required to successfully complete the course.

Equipment and Clothing:

All specialist mountain equipment will be provided, however, participants will be expected to bring warm, layered, winter clothing along with canteens, sun protection, hats, gloves and sun glasses or goggles.

Accommodation:

3*** Hotel, Chamonix centre Twin rooms

Activities:

Walking on glacier, rappelling, ice-climbing, ski-dooing to Mountain Refuge and tobogganing down.

Dinners and lunches of traditional, regional dishes will be provided in exceptional surroundings.

Programme:

Day 1:

Arrival, champagne reception at the hotel, orientation with the Mountain Leap team and preparation of equipment

Day 2:

Breakfast at hotel, Meeting with Mountain guides, Glacier-course in the Argentiere glacier including rappelling, Tyrolienne and crevasse-rescuing, Lunch on the mountain, Relaxing time in the Hotel and après ski evening meal in Chamonix.

Day 3:

Breakfast at the hotel, Ice-climbing with Mountain Guides, lunch in town, trip to the bottom of le Tournieux where ski-doos will be waiting, ski-doo ride up to the Refuge du Tournieux, vin chaud followed by traditional dinner, tobogganing back down to the valley! Clubbing in Chamonix.

Day 4:

Morning skiing/walking around the town, lunch, afternoon departure.

The event is as described above and incl the accommodation and travel arrangements, guides, event managers and equipment hire. There will be a bad weather contingency plan in readiness, details of which are available on request.

  • Lunches Travel Insurance. Please note policies must cover participants for glacier travel on skis & by snow shoes.
